A free Douglas coffee morning aims to make business networking less awkward

By Yay Cork June 15, 2026June 14, 2026

If you’ve been meaning to get out from behind the laptop, this could be the perfect excuse.

Douglas Network is hosting another edition of its popular Coffee & Connect morning later this month, bringing together local business owners, entrepreneurs and community members for a relaxed morning of coffee, conversation and connections.

Taking place at O’Sullivans Gastropub in Douglas on Wednesday, June 24th, the event runs from 10am to 12pm and is completely free to attend.

Unlike traditional networking events, Coffee & Connect is designed to be informal and welcoming, making it ideal for everyone from established business owners to freelancers, start-ups and anyone looking to grow their local network.

This month’s event will also see the launch of a new feature called Rise & Pitch, giving a handful of local businesses the chance to introduce themselves with a quick 90-second pitch. There’s no PowerPoint, no microphone and no formal presentation — just local people sharing what they do and making new connections in a friendly setting.

With Cork’s small business community continuing to thrive, events like Coffee & Connect offer a valuable opportunity to meet potential collaborators, discover local services and hear what’s happening across the area.

Whether you’re looking to promote your business, expand your network or simply enjoy a coffee with like-minded people, organisers say everyone is welcome to drop in.

Attendance is free, but registration is requested in advance through Eventbrite.
