A famous Dingle artisan ice cream company is coming to Cork this summer

Their flavours are something special.
And if a big scoop of Murphy’s Ice Cream is one of your favourite treats when you visit Dingle, soon you’ll be able to enjoy your Honeycomb Caramel or West Cork Whiskey and Valrhona Chocolate here on Leeside.
Started by Sean and Kieran Murphy in Dingle, Co. Kerry in 2000, Murphy’s Ice Cream is opening its first Cork shop on Oliver Plunkett Street.

The brand, which uses natural ingredients and milk from the rare, indigenous breed of Kerry cow “because the milk is so wonderful”, has already opened outlets in Dublin, Galway, Kildare, Dingle, and Killarney.
Now Cork ice cream fans will be able to swing by and try some of their famous flavours, including Irish Brown Bread – Arán Donn (McCambridge’s brown bread caramelised in the oven with muscovado sugar) and the bestselling Dingle Sea Salt – Salann – made from Dingle sea water they collect at Bín Bán beach.
There’s even an ice cream featuring poitín; the Micil Irish Cream Liqueur is a luxurious blend of sweet Irish whiskey, rich Irish cream, and smooth Connemara poitín.
