A delicious new food truck just rolled up in Cork’s Fifth Quarter
It’s *the* city spot to grab a bite al fresco these days.
Now The Fifth Quarter on Cork’s busy Paul Street has welcomed another tasty food truck to the mix: Little Vietnam opened on Saint Patrick’s Day, with a small but mighty menu of tasty street food bites.
Launch day customers were raving about the Bánh Mì Vietnamese Sandwich, a crispy house-baked baguette filled with pickled veggies, fresh herbs and signature sauce with the optional top-up of grilled pork patties (€11.50) or egg.
If you swing by you should also try a portion of Nem, fried spring rolls filled with pork, shrimp and veggies; €2.50 each or three for €7. Crispy, hot… delicious.
Behind the counter you’ll find chef Nini who grew up surrounded by the vibrant street food culture of Vietnam.

Later, he moved to Bucharest, where he built his career as a chef — cooking in some of the city’s top restaurants and even showcasing his skills on Romania’s MasterChef.
But something was missing. So he traded fine dining for something more personal: a Vietnamese food truck where he can share the dishes and flavours he loves most, right here on Leeside. Lucky us.
Expect an extended menu including pho and bun cha to be unveiled soon.
