History is more fun when you can drink it.

And if you like to combine your Culture Night activities with a drink or two, there’s a walking tour on this year’s schedule that will almost certainly tickle your fancy.

Beverley Mathews of L’Atitude 51 will be leading a historical walking tour around the streets of Cork with the ‘Bringing the Wine Geese Home’ team on Friday, September 18th, 2020.

Closed since St Patrick’s Day when a fire caused extensive damage to the wine bar on Union Quay, L’Atitude 51 is preparing to reopen later this autumn.

In the meantime, you can join these seasoned wine connoisseurs on a fascinating stroll around town while learning about some of the Cork families who left Leeside to make a major impact on the wine industry around the world.

Kicking off at L’Atitude 51 at 4pm, the two-hour walking tour will retrace the footsteps of Cork’s Wine Geese Families, finishing with a special Wine Geese tasting.
