All jazzed out already?
If the city’s biggest festival has left you feeling worse for wear, now would be a good time to make a break for the country and a little bit of nerve-soothing self-care.
And wouldn’t you know it, a brand new beach sauna is opening at Ballycroneen Bay in Cloyne this weekend, with appointments open now.
Cedar and Steam, a mobile wood-fired sauna built inside a former horsebox, has just set up for steamy sessions on the sand, surrounded by rolling hills and green fields.

It may look like a standard horseboxd on the outside, but inside, it’s has been carefully paneled in gloriously-scented cedar wood and operates on a Nordic-design HUUM sauna heater to create a simple, cosy spot to sweat out the weekend’s excesses before a bracing dip in the sea.
You can catch Cedar and Steam at Ballycroneen Beach on Sundays from 10am to 4pm. A website with a booking section will be launched soon, but for now, you can arrange a ‘hot slot’ for yourself or your group via Instagram DM here.
