A brand new craft and vintage market is opening on North Main Street in July

This sounds heavenly.
North Main Street is one of those areas where you can find everything and anything from a tea set to a wig, excellent charity shops, a trip to the movies, or just a tasty pint.
Now, the bustling street is about to gain its very own regular weekend craft and vintage market, hosted in the gorgeous surrounds of St Peter’s Church.
The newly established Hibiscus Market, organised by a team of multidisciplinary artists, recently put a call out to vendors looking to take up a spot… and they received a tonne of applications from local artists and curators.
“We were really impressed by the quality and volume of applications, and we can’t wait to showcase the work of so many amazing artists, crafters, and vintage curators,” said the organisers on Instagram.

Among the stallholders already confirmed are Saltwater Design, textured, thoughtful jewellery created in Cork by Megan Williams, French illustrator Justine Lepage, fashion accessory brand INAKSY, Mink enamel pins and prints, Sachiko paper crafts and artist Deirdre Kelly.
The first market is set to take place on Saturday, July 15th, and Sunday, July 16th. Keep an eye on their social media for more details.
