Danish store NORMAL has 1,000 opening day goodie bags for Cork customers

By Yay Cork April 23, 2026April 22, 2026

Fans love its maze-like store design and ever-changing stock.

But Danish retail favourite NORMAL has plenty more in store for its first customers when it opens at The Queen’s Old Castle in Cork City on Thursday, May 7th.

The chain, which sells a mix of personal care, household essentials, snacks and drinks from well-known brands such as L’Oréal, Maybelline, Nivea, Gillette, Colgate, Garnier, Nescafé, Oreo, Vanish and Finish, as well as exclusive brands such as PUCA Pure & Care, Alva and The Hair Project all at fixed low prices, will be handing the first ten people in the queue a €30 NORMAL gift card, which can be redeemed directly in the store.

In addition, 1,000 goodie bags await the first customers, as well as the chance to win an entire pallet of NORMAL products.

Since making its Irish debut in Dublin’s ILAC Centre last year, followed by a second successful opening in Dublin Northside Shopping Centre, the brand is now building on that momentum by bringing its distinctive treasure-hunt shopping experience to Cork city centre.

Customers in Cork can expect to discover American candy, K-Beauty from South Korea, J-Beauty from Japan and other Asian products, body-care, hair care and makeup, alongside trusted everyday essentials, with more than 100 new products arriving every week.

Located in the iconic Queen’s Old Castle building, the new store brings fresh life to one of Cork’s most historic landmarks.  The new Cork store spans 563m² of sales space and will employ approximately 30–35 team members.

Opening hours on Thursday, May 7th will be 8am–9pm but get there early if you fancy scooping a free treat.
