Warmer weather on the way for Cork with temps of up to 17C by Thursday

St Patrick’s Day was a bit drizzly for most.
But it looks like the recent soft weather could be clearing to brighter, milder conditions this week as we head into the last weeks of March.
The good news? It’ll brighten up nicely later on today, with sunny spells pushing through as the afternoon goes on. Temperatures are staying fairly mild too, hitting around 11 to 15 degrees, with just light breezes.
Tonight stays dry, with a mix of cloud and clearer skies. It’ll cool down a bit, dipping to somewhere between 3 and 8 degrees, and you can expect a bit more mist and fog creeping back in as the night goes on.

Thursday is shaping up to be the pick of it — once any early fog clears, it’s looking like a proper bright and sunny day. And even better, temperatures could climb to a lovely 12 to 17 degrees, which is fairly mild for March in Cork.
Looking ahead, it’s a decent run overall — plenty of dry weather and sunshine through Friday and into Saturday, though you’ll have to watch out for those stubborn morning fog patches hanging about. Temperatures stay comfortably mild, mostly in the low to mid-teens.
Sunday’s when things start to turn a bit — cloud building with rain edging in from the west later on. And early next week? A bit cooler and more unsettled, with rain and breezier conditions making a return.
But all in all, not a bad spell at all — a nice lift with the brighter skies and milder temperatures. You’d nearly say spring is trying to show its face.
