Get in the audience for a live podcast tackling Cork’s many housing issues

It’s the topic everyone in Cork has an opinion on.
Now University College Cork Library is launching Community Matters, a brand-new discussion forum tackling the issues shaping life in Cork — and first up? Housing.
Taking place on Tuesday, March 24th at 7pm in the Creative Zone at UCC Library, the inaugural event promises a proper deep dive, two-panel conversation, diverse viewpoints and the whole thing recorded live as a podcast as part of Cork Podcast Festival.
The speaker line-up spans tenants’ rights, politics, co-operative housing and architecture, including representatives from Cork Community Action Tenants Union, the Green Party, Cork Student Housing Co-op, the Social Democrats, Cork Centre for Architectural Education and Derelict Ireland. In other words: it won’t be short on perspective.

It’s thoughtful, it’s topical and it’s happening in a library creative zone.

If you care about rent, regeneration, vacant buildings, and co-ops, this is your Tuesday night sorted. Get a €12 ticket here.
