For Sale: Monkstown café on Greenway route offers ‘superb’ business opportunity

By Yay Cork January 7, 2026

It’s a unique opportunity for the right candidate.

A busy café and restaurant has hit the market in Monkstown after the owner decided to sell for personal reasons.

Napoli Coffee and Wine Bar serves coffee and sandwiches by day as well as pizza and charcuterie with wine in the evenings. The café, on Castle Terrace, is uniquely located on the new Greenway route, which is set to bring plenty of hungry customers right to the door.

“I’m selling as I have a full time job.” Napoli’s owner Jessica Bird told Yay Cork.

“I bought this with my great friend and business partner and she wasn’t able to continue doing it almost immediately after buying it, so I carried on myself for the last almost three years, growing the business, serving the community, bringing in new customers, adding pizza and wine nights.”

“I just don’t have enough time to keep it going myself so unfortunately I have to sell.” she continued.

“It’s a superb business, doing well, and a massive opportunity as the Greenway will be passing outside the door. That will bring loads of customers here plus more cyclists. It’s a great location and primed for expansion in all areas, from the coffee shop, to wine and a pizzeria, deli, or patisserie. There is nothing like it from Carrigaline to Douglas.”
