Brought to you by Atlantia Cork.
Who are Atlantia Clinical Trials?
Atlantia Clinical Trials originally grew out of University College Cork and has been based in Cork for nearly 15 years. They’ve conducted more than 200 clinical studies for major global companies.
Their research focuses on evaluating the health benefits of supplements and functional foods, supporting health claims across areas like cardiovascular health, digestive health, and cognitive health.

What’s involved?
The team of researchers at Atlantia have just launched their new study. Volunteers will be trialling a probiotic and prebiotic supplement, which could help with common menopause symptoms including sleep disturbance, change in sexual function or mood changes.
“We will be assessing this by asking volunteers questionnaires and conducting health assessments throughout the study. We will collect blood, stool, vaginal swab and saliva samples to gain insights and evaluate your symptoms.” Niamh Power, Recruitment Coordinator at Atlantia Clinical Trials in Blackpool told us.
“The study runs for eight weeks and involves three visits to our clinic in Blackpool Retail Park (First Floor, Heron House, Blackpool Retail Park, Cork, T23R50R).”

All participants will receive €300 upon completion of the study.
Who is Eligible?
- Generally healthy women aged 44-55 years
- Those experiencing symptoms of perimenopause and menopause
