You can take a Night Time Graveyard Tour at this city cemetery tonight

Here’s an evening stroll with a difference.
Local historian Liam O’hUigín will lead curious folks on a nighttime Graveyard Tour of St Joseph’s Cemetery tonight, Friday, April 19th.
The tour begins at 7pm and will run until around 9pm.
The cemetery has lots of interesting features (you can check out a few of them here) and was created for the poor by Fr Theobald Mathew, a Franciscan Capuchin friar, in the 1800s.
The original graveyard was laid out in a style inspired by the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris, which still attracts 3.5 million visitors who come to visit the graves of Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, Édith Piaf and Chopin every year.
Not to be outdone, Saint Joseph’s Cemetery cemetery is the final resting place of a few famous faces too. Hollywood star Edward Mulhare is buried in the family plot (fans still leave love letters to him on his grave), as is famous publican and Coal Quay shawlie Kathy Barry.
