This Yoga Day involves forest bathing in a woods filled with blooming bluebells

It’s downward-facing dog meets downright magical.
Local yoga enthusiasts are swapping the gym for a sun-dappled haven by the Cork coast, where a Yoga Day and forest bathing session will take place right in the heart of a breathtaking bluebell bloom.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 27th at Courtmacsherry Rowing Club on the beautiful beach just alongside the woods.
Clíodhna O’Riordán (spiritual name Lakshmi) has been practicing Satyananda yoga, which helps fine-tune one’s awareness, for over 17 years and will lead the proceedings on the day, kicking off at 10.30am.
“The Yoga Day will begin with tea and treats to meet one another then we will enter the space and perform the morning mantras,” she told us.
“This will be followed by the practices of hatha yoga, pranayama (breath work) and meditations from the tantras. We will then have a nourishing warm veggie meal with delicious salads to feed the soul.”

After lunch, the group will head up to the bluebell woods to connect with nature and practice some forest bathing for the senses.
“We will then return to the space for Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) to restore the body and mind. And finish the day with some cake of course.” added Clíodhna.
The day runs from 10.30am-4pm and costs €80. You can book through Instagram @yoganeart or by texting 087 941 8407.
Start manifesting the sunshine.
