Cork Weather: Humid, drizzly and generally uncomfortable for the weekend

By Yay Cork June 23, 2023June 23, 2023

It’s a sticky combo.

Met Éireann says we can expect the current warm temperatures and wet weather to continue into the weekend.

According to the national forecaster, it will be cloudy today with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, turning heavy in some spots but also warm and humid with highest temperatures of up to 23 degrees.

Tonight will be cloudy and humid with patchy outbreaks of light rain and drizzle and “very mild” with temperatures not falling below 16 to 18 degrees in moderate southerly winds.

Saturday will dawn warm and humid with occasional patches of light rain and drizzle.

Today will be cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain & drizzle, turning heavy at times. ☔️ 🌧️

“Cloudy for most but a few sunny spells will break through in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees, coolest in the south of the province, in moderate to fresh southerly winds.” said a forecaster.

After a dull and wet start to the day on Sunday, rain will become widespread and some heavy or thundery downpours are possible.

“The rain will clear eastwards later, with scattered showers and sunny spells following from the west.”

Highest temperatures will range from 17 degrees to 23 degrees.

Forecasters say it’s looking unsettled for the rest of this weekend and into next week with rain and showers, possibly turning heavy at times.
