Your dog deserves a day out at this scent-chasing Adventure Walk in the woods

Make it a doggie date.
Cork dog-lovers are invited to treat their canine companions to some spring fun at the start of May, with two evenings of sniffing and scent-chasing planned in an East Cork woodland.
A celebration of summer’s arrival, the May Sunday Festival in East Cork is one of the most unique and magical Irish festivals.
Taking place at Glenbower Woods since the 1830s, this year’s event includes some fun for furrier visitors as well as a packed programme of arts, crafts, nature, and woodland activities organised by Greywood Arts in Killeagh.
“Dogsercise has organised adventure walks to make dog walking even more fun for your pets, with purposeful sniffing and scent trailing,” they told us.
The Dogsercise walks have been specially planned by the games-based dog training specialists and will take place on Tuesday, May 2nd, and Friday, May 5th, 2023 at 6.30pm in the glorious setting of Glenbower Woods.
An Art Trail, a Dawn Chorus walk, foraging talks, May Bush making, litter picking, a Family Fun Day, Sculpture in the Woods and Botanical Silk Printing are just some of the activities taking place over a two-week period of the magical May Sunday Festival & Art Trail 2023.
Dogs taking part in the Adventure Walk should be comfortable with other dogs in close proximity and spaces are strictly limited to eight dogs per walk. The cost is €10 per dog and you can sign up here.
