There’s a new hands-on arts festival coming to town in May

A new festival is on the cards for Cork in May.
STAMP is bringing artist groups together to provide hands-on opportunities for Leesiders to learn and engage in the arts.
Curious participants will get to witness how artists make music, paintings, weaving and crafts, with up-close and personal opportunities to learn more during the events across the weekend.
Benchspace, Cork Craft & Design, Sample Studios, and Shandon Art Studio are a few of the local groups behind the festival, brought together by Cork City Council and the European Cult-CreaTE project.

“The word ‘Stamp’ describes our brand’s mission to make an impact in society and to leave an impressive footprint on the creative world for other aspiring artists to follow,” said the festival organisers on social media.
“We collectively created this brand to effect positive change in the creative community of Cork city, transforming it into a collaborative hub. By placing our own stamp on the city, this brand will be the hero in the stories of many creatives as we establish the value of creative thinking, encourage artistic collaboration and inspire more innovative minds to get involved.”
STAMP will take place from May 13th-15th, 2022 in various locations across the city. Keep an eye on their socials to check out the soon-to-be-released programme.
