Chef Caitlin Ruth is joining the Field Kitchen crew for a special spring menu

There is nothing like a big meal to celebrate Easter.
For centuries, people have gathered to celebrate this spring festival and the Goddess Eostre, which marks the budding of life and longer days; colloquially known as “the fine stretch”.
And what better place to gather and celebrate this weekend than in Ardfield, where banquet tables are being laid out with fine wines and freshly polished glasses in preparation for an Easter Feast taking place across the bank holiday.
Former head chef of Deasy’s Restaurant near Clonakilty, Caitlin Ruth, will be joining owners Vic Sprake and Deborah Ní Chaoimhe at Camus Farm Field Kitchen to dish out a four-course set menu all weekend.

Ruth, who runs her own food truck and has been consistently listed in McKenna’s Guides Top 100 Restaurants since 2011, has put together an array of seasonal food from West Cork’s local growers and producers. A carefully planned (optional) pairing wine menu is also available on the night to complement each dish.
Prices start from €60 per person and include a welcome drink and (at least) a four-course set menu, which will use local produce from land and sea.

The award-winning Field Kitchen Restaurant is fully licensed with a range of wines, craft beers, and spirits so you can enjoy a tipple or two with your meal. It is also a 30-acre organic holding centered around three large stone-built barns dating from 1850. Visitors are welcome to wander around the grounds and check out the restored buildings, wildlife, cattle, walkways, and nature trails before sitting down for a banquet.
Meals are served simultaneously, in one sitting. The first dish will be served at 7pm on Friday, April 15th with bookings available until Sunday, April 17th.
