You know you want one.

Every trend-sensitive gal worth her Instagram handle has been lusting after a gorgeous woollen wall hanging this winter.

Sadly, if you’ve been ‘adding to cart’ only to abandon said cart later, you’ll know they are SO DAMN EXPENSIVE.

That’s because these beautiful, soft expanses of yarn and macramé are handmade, which pushes them into the ‘art’ category of home decor.

However, there is a way to get a stunning piece of wool wall art into your very own little gallery for a tiny fraction of what these babies cost online.

Step forward our favourite new Cork Mecca for everything cute and crafty; Søstrene Grene.

The Green sisters (that’s the translation, FYI) have come to our rescue with a simple DIY tutorial that you can make at home.

All you need to get started is a rustic-looking piece of wood and your choice of coloured yarns, a variety of which are available from the Søstrene Grene store on Patrick Street.

Add in a few bottles of wine, some pyjamas and a Spotify playlist and you’ve got yourself a crafty little girls’ night in.
