KPMG is creating 800 new jobs in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Belfast

There’s some good news for graduates in Cork this morning.
KPMG has announced it plans to grow its Irish workforce by a whopping 4,000 people in 2020, with 800 positions opening up immediately across its offices in Cork, Dublin, Galway, and Belfast.
The company, which specialises in audit and tax services, cites an increase in demand for cybersecurity, digital, and data analytics as one of the reasons for its continuing growth.
Half of the roles will be filled by experienced employees, with the other half going to college graduates, who will work in audit and assurance, tax consulting, corporate finance and transaction services as part of the KPMG Graduate Development Programme.
It looks like a fun place to work too; KPMG host concerts, table quizzes, parties and theatre nights as part of their social calendar and sporty staff can choose between intra-corporate hockey, soccer and tag rugby leagues, GAA matches, golf events, tennis tournaments, sailing and athletics competitions.
The Global Opportunities programme also offers the chance to take up overseas assignments with KPMG for as little as three months or for as long as three years
The company currently employs 3,300 people in Ireland, with 2018 revenues topping €414 million.
