SNEAK PEEK: Here’s a look inside Montenotte’s fanciest new townhouses

By Yay Cork October 25, 2019April 29, 2020

They’ll be hitting the market in spring of 2020.

And if you happen to have a cool €720,000 in your back pocket, this luxury townhouse development in Montenotte could be the dream city neighbourhood for you.

Twelve of the 16 Arbutus Montenotte properties, built by M Homes on a south-facing hillside in the grounds of Arbutus Lodge, are now for sale with agents Cohalan Dowling.

You can choose from a three or four bed property, with a variety of different layouts available.

House No. 1 is the only one of its kind in the development. The three-storey four-bed boasts roomy ground floor living space, as well a first-floor lounge that could serve a multitude of purposes and a patio with a side-access gate.

The other layouts boast glam modern kitchens, enviable walk-in wardrobes, ensuite bedrooms and French doors to private terraces with spectacular views.

All the homes have a NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) A-rating for energy, pressurised water systems, under-floor heating, future-proof, energy-efficient windows, paved driveways and Prestige front doors.

Once the home of Cork’s ‘Merchant Princes’, Montenotte is famous for its leafy lanes, sprawling Georgian mansions and terraced gardens – all just a short stroll to Cork City Centre.

The gorgeous Montenotte Hotel will be your local for drinks and lunch. Even closer is the hipster enclave of St Luke’s, where you can buy fresh flowers from a vintage toll booth, artisan food from O’Keeffe’s famous shop and choose from a selection of some of the city’s cosiest pubs.
