Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning to kick off the Cork Jazz

It might be time to revise your jazz route.
As the city gears up for the biggest party weekend of the year in Cork, it seems Mother Nature has other plans.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Rainfall warning for Cork, Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Wicklow, forecasting “pulses of heavy rain at times today and overnight, with some spot flooding” and up to 30 mm of rainfall over the next 24 hours.

The weather warning is valid from 8am this morning until 6am tomorrow, Saturday October 26th.
There’s better news for later in the day on Saturday however, with the rain expected to clear in the morning, revealing a “bright, cool, but fairly sunny day” with the odd afternoon shower and temperatures of between 7 to 10C.
If you’re looking for a spot to hide from the deluge this afternoon, swing six-piece Bobby Mc and The Dukes are making their debut at the Cork Jazz Festival at Reardens from 4pm.
