You have a one in 9,000 chance of winning.

This October, one lucky person will be handed the keys of a brand new, mortgage-free €300,00 apartment in Ballintemple, as winner of a unique prize draw organised by three Cork sports clubs.

Since it was announced in May, the #WinAGaff raffle has captured imaginations all over the world, with €100 tickets being purchased online from all over the country, Australia and Canada.

According to the people behind the competition, part of a fundraising initiative on behalf of Cork City FC, Douglas GAA club and Kinsale AFC, ticket sales “are going very well and on track.

“Organisers anticipate at this stage that tickets will sell out.” a spokesperson told Yay Cork.

The “Gaff” in question is a brand new 75 square metre, two-bedroom apartment, complete with contemporary built-in kitchen, appliances, wardrobes, double-glazed Alu-clad windows and a landscaped patio.

While a new home would be the dream win, the runners up prizes aren’t too shabby either; second prize is a brand new five-door Toyota Yaris Terra, provided by Lehane Motors, while the third prize winner will walk away with €1,000 in cash.
