“A major milestone.”

Taoiseach Micheál Martin this morning announced that 90% of all Irish people over the age of 18 are fully vaccinated.

He further noted that by the end of the day, Ireland will have administered as many as 7 million doses of the vaccine as part of the programme.

Anyone in Ireland over the age of 12 can now book an appointment online to be vaccinated. When children are taken into account, Ireland’s overall rate of full vaccination is around the 70.5% mark.

We’ve reached two major milestones in our Vaccine Rollout.

90% of adults over 18 are now fully vaccinated.

And by the end of today, 7 million #Covidvaccines will have been administered.
