9 prints of iconic Cork landmarks by artist Emma O’Hara

Warning: you’re going to want them all.
They say that you should choose art that speaks to you. If you’re from Cork, the work of Emma O’Hara will speak volumes.
The Wexford-born, Cork-based printmaker, who opened her first solo show Encounters at Cork Printmakers gallery last year, takes inspiration from everyday encounters with landscape, architecture and the urban environment.
O’Hara deconstructs her surroundings and rebuilds them in collage-based printmaking to highlight her environment through a new lens.
There’s no denying we are #acityrising, but Emma’s work shines a new light on those old, familiar parts of Cork that get very little love.
You can check out her latest work in The Parlour Cafe on Cornmarket Street and there are pieces for sale in the Triskel Arts Centre and Cork Printmakers Gallery.
Keep an eye out for O’Hara’s natural themed work in the Good Day Deli at Nano Nagle Place this autumn too.
In the meantime, here are nine Cork prints guaranteed to stand the test of time:
