Bargain hunters assemble.

Black Friday is almost upon us, and if you’ve got a Christmas shopping budget burning a hole in your pocket, there are plenty of bargains to be had for your buck.

Thanks to Cork City Council and the Cork Business Association, you can now nab free parking after 5pm in Paul Street and North Main Street car parks every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from November 22nd until January 12th too.

There will also be increased park and ride services, along with additional late-night buses, making the city more accessible than ever during prime shopping times.

1. The Body Shop

It’s a Black Friday blitz at The Body Shop with 30% off everything in store for three days only, from Thursday, November 22nd to Saturday, November 24th, 2018. The sale excludes voucher purchases or charitable items.

Lidl is using the Black Friday sale to mark down many of their electrical goods. Top deals include a cordless Hoover vacuum cleaner (€99) and a Nutri Bullet Starter Kit for €49.99.

This year, Aldi is slashing prices by up to 55% on a range of products across all 135 stores. Offers are totally hush hush and will only be revealed in all stores on Friday, November 23rd. Worth a look.

4. Specsavers

If you’ve been putting off changing your glasses, this week is the perfect time to take the plunge: Specsavers on Opera Lane is offering 50% off all designer frames over €129 on Friday.

5. Ryanair

Not content with a one-day sale, Ryanair is currently running Cyber Week, with prices as low as €7.99 one-way and 10% of all checked baggage on flights booked during the eight-day sale.
