6 lovely ways to celebrate Cork Pride if you’re not into partying all night

Forget the glitter bombs and dance marathons, lovebirds.
Cork Pride is upon us, but that doesn’t mean everyone’s down for a full-on rave.
Whether you’re an introvert, a party pooper (no judgement!), or simply crave a different kind of celebration, there are plenty of ways to show your rainbow pride without setting foot on a float or a dancefloor.
Here are six lovely – and a little less loud – ways to celebrate Cork Pride and spread the love this year:
Saturday, July 27th: A friendly game of tag rugby
Cork Hellhounds FC are hosting a Pride Tag Rugby Tournament at 11am at Virgin Media Park on Tramore Road.
Sunday, July 28th: Get some exercise at the Pride Run
Runners and walkers are welcome at this fun event, which begins at 11am in Kennedy Park
Monday, July 29th: Get creative with some green-fingered guys and gals
Head over to LINC IN Ballintemple at 6.30pm on Monday evening and get involved in a Paint and Plant meet-up.
Wednesday, July 31st: Meet the Community
Newly ‘out’ or thinking about coming out in the near future? Head along to the Cork Pride Welcome to the Community Coming Out Talk at 6.30pm in Civic Trust House.
Friday, August 2nd: A daytime get-together for older gents
The GOLD Café for Older Men is hosting a Pride lunch at the highly civilised time of noon on Friday. It’s a lovely chance to meet people over a light bite.
Saturday, August 3rd: A chill cycle and fun for families in the park
Hop on your bike and join a Queer Bike Ride along the Greenway, leaving Marina Market at 11am. Later you can bring the gang to the free Cork Pride Family Fun Day in Fitzgerald’s Park from 12pm until 6pm.
