6 deliciously summery new menu items to try in Cork today

By Katie Mythen-Lynch June 21, 2024June 20, 2024

It’s actually HAPPENING.

Sun. Actual, legit sunshine. And with sunshine comes a primal urge – the need to shove something ridiculously delicious into our gobs while sitting in a sun-dappled city terrace or basking in Vitamin D by a sunny window.

Here’s a little guide to the new menu additions to devour now:

The Crab Tostada at Cask

Where: MacCurtain Street, Cork City

A vibrant, zesty little dish to enjoy when you’re keeping it light, Cask’s new Crab Tostada involves baby gem lettuce, garden peas,  horseradish and a savoy cabbage reduction. It’ll have tiny mermaids singing sea shanties in your mouth.

The Summer Burrata Salad at Good Day Deli

Where: Nano Nagle, Douglas Street

This ain’t your limp lettuce and sad tomato situation. Good Day Deli’s Summer Burrata Salad involves creamy burrata, the Beyoncé of fresh cheeses, lounging on a bed of juicy, sun-kissed tomatoes and rustic hunks of bread.
