5 really gorgeous events that are happening during Cork Craft Month ’22

Brought to you by Cork Craft Month.
The programme gets more intriguing every year.
Cork Craft & Design has unveiled its 2022 line-up for Cork Craft Month, with over 60 workshops, artist talks, markets, and demonstrations taking place in August.
This year sees a number of new cultural organisations join the festival. TEST SITE, which is located on the grounds of a former sawmill on Kyrl’s Quay, will host a range of workshops, talks and outdoor events. There will also be two special live performances from the Fresh Air Collective while bookbinding and ceramic workshops will also take place.
Several events will be presented in Irish, including Sonia Caldwell’s talk on Rush Rattle Weaving as part of the Timpeallacht Exhibition in Kilcoe Studios, Peadar O’Riada’s demonstration of Skep Traditional Beehive Weaving and artist Martha Cashman’s workshop on how to make ceramic bird feeders.
Twelve original illustrations by Cork artist Annie Mar will also be popping up on city billboards, so keep your eyes peeled for a special message as Gaeilge.
Here are just five of the many events we’ll be checking out during the 2022 installment:
