5 MORE scenic Cork walking routes with a decent coffee truck nearby

Ask and you shall receive.
We know how much Corkonians love a good walk, a long natter and a top-notch coffee. It’s one hangover from months in lockdown that we’ll be keeping now that normality has returned.
Happily, you can enjoy all three at many of the most iconic spots around the Rebel County, as detailed in this list of suggestions for your next stroll.
Now we’re back with a follow-up list of some of the places Yay Cork readers insisted were unfairly left out of our last round-up.
Never ones to disappoint, we thought we’d put a sequel together featuring some of the most popular reader suggestions.
Pop these on your list this week:
1. Cuppa Joe’s
Cuppa Joe’s is located on a beautiful stretch near Jacob’s Island and overlooks some supreme views of Lough Mahon. You can take a stroll along the neatly kept path and pick up a cuppa here from Tuesday to Sunday from 9am-4pm.

2. GG’s Cork
Head over to Passage West with the smallies and treat them to a spell on the playground before picking up a pastry at GG’s Vintage Coffee Van. GG’s is open seven days a week and you’re sure to come across some very friendly avian friends whilst out on your stroll.

3. Coffee Ola
Yay Cork readers certainly made a compelling case for including Coffee Ola, located just off Garryvoe Beach.
It’s a little further East than what we’d normally travel, but for these views, those coffees and them there rocky roads; this walk and its coffee truck companion has definitely made the cut.
4. Cúpla Cafe
We absolutely adore this looped walk in Blarney and we love stopping at Cúpla Café for a macchiato and gluten-free snack when getting in the daily steps.
The so-called Clogheenmilcon Sanctuary Walk is a bit of a different experience than what we’d typically go for: instead of a beach or a river, the path runs through a lake and marsh. The thing about this type of environment is that it attracts loads of wildlife so you never know what you might spot.
Cúpla Cafe is open Friday-Sunday from 9:30am.

5. The River Café
If you love a leafy path you’re going to love the Rocky Road Walk in Glanmire. The River Café is parked on a permanent bed of leaves on this lush river walk and serves sandwiches, pizzas and hot chocolates. They’re even known to experiment with a waffle or two.
This one is a perfect date spot for all you romantics out there.
