You can buy local art at an exhibition and pop-up shop on Douglas Street this weekend

Looking for a local piece of art to finish a room?
This weekend, Notes to Cork on Douglas Street will host an exhibition and pop-up shop displaying work by emerging visual artists.
“The exhibition aims to shine a light on local emerging artists and to create a conversation about why artists need to invest their talents in Cork and in return why Cork needs to invest in its artists. Five incredible artists will share their love of Cork with us through their various artistic disciplines,” said Visions to Cork on Instagram.
The exhibition will include work by Maeve Towey, Emer Kiely, Alice Moloney, Sarah Malito and Rosa Mäkelä. You’ll be able to purchase a specially designed postcard by each artist in the pop-up shop as well as pieces by Maeve Towey:

Participants are encouraged to head to Fionnbarras for a post-exhibition pint (not that we need much encouragement).
The exhibition runs from Friday, May 20th to Sunday 22nd at Notes to Cork on Douglas Street. The space is open Friday 4 pm – 8pm, Saturday 11am – 6pm and Sunday 11am – 5pm.
