You can bring the kids to visit Kinsale Museum for free all day this Friday

Happen to have this Friday off?
If you’re in the mood for a little spin to the seaside, there’s an extra reason to head for Kinsale on Friday, June 27th.
Kinsale Museum, run by Cork County Council, will be open to the public for free on the day to celebrate Your Council Day.
Located in the centre of the town, Kinsale Museum is dedicated to telling the history of Kinsale and the surrounding area. Housed in a 400-year-old market house, the museum displays an eclectic collection of artefacts and oddities.
It’s a real gem for getting a feel for the town’s interesting past. You’ll find all sorts of cool stuff, from nautical bits and bobs to relics from the Battle of Kinsale, and even some quirky local history.

It’s not a huge place, but it’s packed with enough to give you a genuine appreciation for Kinsale’s unique story.
Plus, it’s a great way to spend an hour or so, especially if the weather isn’t cooperating for a stroll along the harbour.
