It’s the party their village needs.
And this weekend, the residents of Ballydehob will be taking to the streets as the traditional Halloween Jazz Festival Procession returns.
Kicking off at 6.30pm on Saturday, October 30th, 2021, a merry band of musicians will be joined by a wild array of spooky characters, thanks to the support of The Arts Council of Ireland and Cork County Council.
“The Ballydehob Jazz Committee has teamed together with many arts practitioners, local and national from Ballydehob Puppet company, Working Artists Studios, Loosysmokes and many more to create a procession of darkness and colour; to cleanse the streets and fill them with light and positivity and some ancient Ballydehob characters.” said a spokesperson.
“We’ll take a moment to remember the lives lost, especially those who did not get a proper send-off over recent months. What we need now is expression and freedom. And we’re going to come out in force and colour, celebrating the lives of all.”
The procession will be open to everyone and will adhere to all public health guidelines in place at the time of the event.
