‘We deliver’ – All of these brilliant Cork businesses will now drop food to your door

Everyone’s getting to grips with the new normal.
With millions of people in temporary lockdown across the country, local businesses are stepping up to introduce new delivery systems for people who are heeding the government’s advice on minimising social interactions.
Supermarkets like SuperValu are experiencing high demand (the next SuperValu delivery slot is Thursday, March 19th, at Tesco it’s March 24th) but with the evolving coronavirus situation putting small businesses in jeopardy, ordering in is a smart way to avoid the crowds and support struggling business owners at the same time.
Here are some new Cork delivery services to try this week:
1. K O’Connell Fish Merchants
This English Market stall will now drop off a tasty delivery of fresh fish to your door. The only rule is that orders must be over €30 (the perfect excuse to stock your freezer).
“To help alleviate some pressure on our customers we will be providing a home delivery service for the foreseeable future.” said owner Pat O’Connell.
To order, just call 021 4276380 the day before delivery or before 11am on the day and have your Eircode ready. You can find that here.
