It was a roaring success.
Some of the best-behaved dogs in Cork joined their owners for a fundraising brunch at Cask on MacCurtain Street on Sunday.
Canine companions of all shapes and sizes convened on the award-winning cocktail bar to tuck into a tasty Cuban-themed menu featuring a meaty beef, pork chicken and chorizo stew, deep-fried casava with garlic, coriander and sour cream and a Cuban sandwich with pulled pork, gherkins and a Bacardi Mustard.
Guests sipped the drink of the day, the Hito, a Bacardi Legacy cocktail made with Bacardi Carta Blanca, Martini Bianco, grape and sesame oil, invented by Cask mixologist Daniel Cronin.
There was plenty of treats laid on for the doggos too; Hito themed water bowls were arranged throughout the terrace and handfuls of dog biscuits were distributed among the hairier guests.
The best bit? All proceeds are going to Cork Dog Action Welfare, who rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Cork’s abandoned and abused animals.
Cask is a dog-friendly spot so drop by and explore their everyday menu on your next doggie date.
