Vegan Sandwich Co. claim they were bullied into bringing their delicious fillings to Cork

The people of Cork are nothing if not persistent.
Once Corkonians put their mind to something, that’s it, it is done. We’re like a dog with a bone, or more accurately, a hungry vegan with an appetite for sandwiches.
Earlier this month, Vegan Sandwich Co. announced to delighted Cork followers that the long-sought-after brand would be coming to Kinsale- after a long month of… ehm… bullying by Cork fans.
The company’s owner Sam Pearson took to Instagram to announce their Leeside arrival:
“CORK WHAT’S HAPPENING, BAI 👹 I’ll give it to u lot – ur persistent that’s for sure. I don’t think a single day has gone by in the last MONTH where I haven’t gotten a ‘COME TO CORK’ request, message or threat.”
After eventually giving into Corkonian’s requests, Sam was finally able sleep soundly at night and relax, no longer needing to look over his shoulder for rabid Leesiders chasing him down, demanding Roast Chick*n pieces and Bac*n Strips.
“Thankfully for ye (and me nerves) the wait is now over as we’ve landed in📍Smith’s SuperValu, Kinsale ✨Truly I am impressed with y’all’s need for VSC stuff in the rebel county (even if it was at times feral lol)”
And well, we can hardly blame them. The Vegan Sandwich Co. sandwiches look absolutely amazing.
“Almost every morning I wake up to tweets or DMs from people wondering when we’re opening another location in Cork, which is truly such an honour considering how many class vegan food spots already exist in the real capital, but I swear to god, if some rich investor was to donate a generous sum of money to us, we’d open in Cork tomorrow,” said Sian from Vegan Sandwich Co.
They tell us that their “precious children, our Roast Chick*n Pieces and Bac*n Strips, can be found in Smith’s SuperValu, Kinsale, Field’s SuperValu, Skibbereen, Nourish Bandon Road, Dunnes Stores Bishopstown Court and Ryan’s SuperValu, Glanmire.
So make sure to grab a bite the next time you’re passing.
