Urban Outfitters has revealed an opening date for its first Cork store

The final prep is underway inside.
And in just over a week, Cork fashion fans will finally get their first glimpse inside Urban Outfitter’s first Leeside store on St Patrick’s Street.
The American hipster haven, which started out as a single boutique in 1970s Philadelphia, has sent out invitations for a private store opening party on Wednesday, September 17th, which means it’s almost go-time.
After years of only being able to shop the brand online or make a pilgrimage to Dublin’s Temple Bar, Cork’s very own Urban Outfitters store, taking over the long-vacant space at 101 St Patrick’s Street—formerly home to Dorothy Perkins-Evans before its closure in 2019, is already creating a buzz.

The store will occupy only the ground and first floors of the 6,000 sq ft, four-storey, bow-fronted building, which has been extensively refurbished.
The new space is expected to feature racks of laid-back fashion (hello Big Sid joggers), shelves stacked with quirky homewares, vinyl records waiting to be flipped through, and enough lifestyle bits and bobs to keep us browsing way longer than planned.
