Two Cork chefs will be signing their new books at this tasty bookshop bash

By Katie Mythen-Lynch May 1, 2024April 30, 2024

Here’s a fun way to spice up a Tuesday.

Blasta Books is taking over Vibes and Scribes bookshop on Lavitt’s Quay to celebrate two of its latest cookbook authors, Cork chefs Aishling Moore and Caitlin Ruth.

Join foodie queen, Kate Ryan of flavour.ie, as she dives into a delicious dialogue with two of Cork’s culinary rockstars on Tuesday, May 7th.

Aishling, the wizard behind the wonders of Goldie’s restaurant on Oliver Plunkett Street, is celebrating her new release, Whole Catch. Moore will be joined by the unstoppable Caitlin Ruth, whose latest mouth-watering manifesto, Funky, hit the shelves in January.

Expect a hearty stew of topics, from their thrilling careers and the nitty-gritty of running a restaurant to the zest of Cork’s food culture and all the foodie questions you’ve been simmering on.

Post-chatter, grab your copies of Whole Catch and Funky—hot off the press; Aishling and Caitlin will be on hand to sign books and share their secrets on making your home cooking absolutely legendary.

Your ticket (a very reasonable fiver over here) hooks you up with more than just a seat. Enjoy a wine and canapé reception, with delicious treats straight from Goldie’s kitchen, including Goldie’s gildas with red mullet anchovies, smoked mackerel pate and fishy devilled eggs, then trade your entry pass for €5 off one of the books to take home.
