Treat your inner goddess to a two-day wellness retreat on a Cork island

Looking to add a dash of magic to your life?
From May 9th to 11th, prepare to channel your inner Queen Maeve at the Queen of the May Textiles and Wellness Retreat at Sherkin’s North Shore.
This two-day island escape is being orchestrated by the fabulous duo of Bandon-based designer and teacher Jordyn Lynch and sustainable fashion guru Alice Halliday, who specialises in ethereal event wear.
What’s on the cards, you ask? Well, get ready to unleash your inner florist with Alice’s Flower Crown Workshop (finally, your chance to live your bohemian bridal fantasy). Jordyn will be guiding you through the mystical art of cordial-making and helping you craft a Vision Board.

And for the crafty types, there’s a Sewing and Textile Collage Workshop with Jordyn.
But it’s not all about the crafting, oh no. You’ll also get to swan around on a wildflower foraging walk and if you’re feeling brave enough for a dip in the Atlantic, Sherkin boasts three stunning beaches just a hop, skip, and a jump from the venue.
Jordyn herself describes Sherkin as “stepping off the world,” which frankly sounds like exactly what we need. Think nourishing experiences, stunning scenery, and delicious home-cooked grub. Alice, a fellow nature lover, promises you’ll learn to make flower crowns that are “beautiful keepsakes to wear, take home and treasure.”

How can I go along?
For €480 (including two nights shared accommodation, grub, and all the workshops – with a tenner extra for a private room if you’re feeling particularly queenly), this sounds like a proper escape for the soul. Café Bruno will be on hand for lunch, and there are self-catering options too.
Contact Jordyn on 085 2072955 or email jordynlynch96@gmail.com to book in.
