Trade your old books for cash rewards at this Lavitt’s Quay bookshop
It’s never going to happen.
Lifetimes have passed since you plopped that big old book down your bedside table and now it just serves as a constant source of guilt. But it’s in perfect condition, it would be a shame for it to sit unread forever, right?!
Luckily, Vibes and Scribes have put out a call for your longtime dust collectors and are happy to provide you with some cash or credit in exchange for your unwanted books.
The Lavitt’s Quay shop is currently on the lookout for the following genres: popular fiction from 2021 onwards, classic and literary fiction; science fiction, fantasy, horror; history, especially Irish and Cork history; popular; science, psychology, sociology, feminism; LGBTQ+ books; comic trade paperbacks and graphic novels; and leabhair Gaeilge.
There are some conditions however: they won’t accept any damaged or torn books, there are no drop-offs (you must stay in the shop with your books as they are being appraised), and you must ring ahead if you have a lot of books you want to unload (100 plus).
