To Reen Pier for alpacas, coffee, and a festive meet-up with Mrs Claus
The reindeer are busy.
At this time of year, it’s only understandable that Rudolph and the rest of the clan are busy preparing for the festive season, so other animals must take up the mantle of entertaining the kids in their stead.
Down in Reen, West Cork, there’s an unconventional Christmas day out planned and musicians and face painters will entertain the crowds alongside some West Cork alpacas as they wait for Mr and Mrs Clause to arrive at the pier by boat.
“Santa & Mrs Claus will be joining us at Reen pier once again, travelling by boat they will then be coming on land to meet and greet all the little boys and girls,” said the Coffee Cup crew on Instagram.
There’ll be plenty of coffee, natch, hot chocolates, food as well as goodies for the whole family.
If you’re feeling brave on the day and fancy a dip, you can warm yourself afterwards in the wood-fired barrel sauna overlooking the inlet – you may even spot Santa travelling across the waves during your session.
