To Leap, where cult music venue Connolly’s is rocking out a new menu for summer

There’s more to Connolly’s of Leap than world-class gigs.
The crew at the infamous music venue have been dishing out delectable homemade pizzas since they first lit up their woodfired oven back in 2019.
Since then, the West Cork venue has expanded its culinary horizons and this season, new chef Piotr is rolling out a selection of fresh plates for another summer of mouthwatering food.
You’ll find plenty of locally-caught fish on the menu; the mussel stew with Roaring Water Bay mussels, Gubbeen cheese, Parmentier potatoes, and West Cork eggs will go down a treat after a long day’s gallivanting at the beach.
If you’re feeling fancy try the West Cork langoustine with spider crab on crispy sourdough or the monkfish and salmon ceviche; melt-in-the-mouth perfection.

There are plenty of vegan options for revellers to snack on as well. Look out for the vegan empanadas with smoked tofu and romesco dashed with salsa verde, or specials like the vegan smoked tofu arancini with butternut squash purée. Leave room for the vegan chocolate brownie with sour cherry and almond sorbet too.
All the delectable new dishes are served on the handcrafted designs of Fermoyle Pottery duo Stephen O’Connell and Alexis Bowman, which makes each meal into its own little work of art.
