THREE ways to spend Women’s Little Christmas with your favourite ladies

Brought to you by The River Lee.
Women’s Little Christmas; Nollaig na mBan; call it whatever you like.
In Cork, January 6th is traditionally set aside for a right old knees-up with the girls.
This year, there’s never been a better excuse to gather the women in your life for a little R&R in the city, with lunch and brunch in The River Club or Festive Afternoon Tea in The River Lee hotel.
1. Brunch with live music from Jack O’Rourke
If you fancy being wined and dined in a glamorous setting, singer Jack O’Rourke will be the accompaniment to your sumptuous brunch or lunch in The River Club from 1.30pm – 4pm.
2. Small plates and Prosecco with DJ Aoife O’Neil
Party animals can finish the festive season in style in The River Club; detox or retox from the cocktail menu (if you haven’t already tried the Spice Apple Tea with Gunpowder gin or the classic Bloody Mary with Ketel One vodka, don’t miss your chance).
There’s plenty to delight anyone on a health kick too with fresh smoothies and superfoods aplenty alongside the naughtier options.
And it doesn’t end here; from 4:30pm DJ Aoife O’Neill will take over the decks until 8:30pm and a small plates menu will be available to accompany your cocktails. Yum.
3. Festive Afternoon Tea
January 6th is also the last day when you can experience the delightful Festive Afternoon Tea in The Cocktail Bar at The River Lee hotel, so if you’re meeting up with sweet-toothed mums and grannies, book your table early.
What better way to spend Women’s Little Christmas than chatting to your favourite gals over dainty sandwiches, warm scones, clotted cream and jam followed by freshly baked sweet treats to finish a special afternoon.
