There’s nothing like it.
One of the best parts about Christmas, and winter in general, is the permission we give ourselves and the people around us to just relax and enjoy some good food.
And part of that relaxation is tucking into some of the fine festive sandwiches that local restaurants come up with every year.
The Grumpy Bakery on Washington Street has announced no less than four festive options as part of their new Christmas menu this year.
There’s the Dustin Special made with ham, turkey, cranberry sauce stuffing and St. Kevins brie, The Food Dude made with roast sweet potato, roast sprouts, grated carrot, toasted seeds, cranberry sauce stuffing and St.Kevin’s brie (one for the veggies) and the Jingle Beef, with Tom Durcan Spiced Beef, red cabbage, Hegarty’s Cheddar and pickled red onion as well as a festive Croque made with ham and brie inside a toasted croissant.
“[They are] all served on our delicious sourdough and fillings made from scratch by our wonderful team of bakers,” said the bakery on Instagram.
