This village bakery is pulling out ALL the stops for Halloween this year

She’s famous for her ice cream chimneys.
But Petra Kriva, the scarily talented head chef and owner at Yumm Café in Kanturk is laying on a frighteningly fantastic selection of ghoulish goodies for her customers this weekend.
Lucky locals can swing by the Percival Street café for creepy cookies, monstrous meringues, spider web covered cinnamon buns and weird waffles, each one handmade by the queen of seasonal treats.
Visitors to the destination bakery will be greeted with thick chocolate brownies topped with gravestones, pumpkins, ghosts, bats and mummies, leering bubble waffle cones, and a Halloween ice cream chimney (a baked dough ‘chimney’ coated in cinnamon sugar, roasted nuts or sugar, filled with ice cream and topped with a dollop of fresh cream and a selection of delicious sauces and sweets) for die-hard fans of the house special.
You can wash it all down with Yumm Café’s tasty selection of frappuccinos, iced coffees and smoothies.
Freshly baked Toffee Apple Crumble Buns and luscious eclairs will keep the grown-ups happy, but trust us; you don’t want to miss an opportunity to dunk a spider cookie in a steaming mug of hot chocolate.
Just don’t tell your dentist.
Yumm Cafe is open Wednesday-Saturday 9am-4pm – call 029 356 21 to reserve a box of treats.
