This string trio is coming to Cork to play music for babies

You’re never too young to start appreciating classical music.
Now Cork’s babies and toddlers are being invited to a special classical music concert designed just for them at St Peter’s on North Main Street.
String trio Marja Gaynor (violin), Ilse DeZiah (cello) and Dave Whitla (double bass) will perform a concert for parents, grandparents, minders and babies at the atmospheric venue on Monday, April 8th, 2019.
A relaxed event where grown-ups can enjoy a good cup of coffee while babies feed, sleep, play and absorb all the benefits of the music, the concert begins at 11am.
Studies show that babies as young as three months old can recognise a piece of music they have heard before. Many parents also find that listening to the rhythms of classical music can help babies to nod off a little faster.
Worth a shot, right?
Tickets (€13 for adults, babies and toddlers go free) are available here.
