This slick new Cork cycling apparel start-up is geared for the fast lane
In the market for some stylish new cycling gear?
A Cork start-up cycling apparel brand has announced the release of a complete range of clothing and accessories aimed at keen road cyclists of all levels.
Based in Fermoy, Nomadik Apparel (NMDK), is the brainchild of Cork’s own Colm Ó Murchú, who used his experience from two decades spent working in retail design, procurement, and project management to launch the dedicated cycling apparel brand in 2021.

The team at NMDK is entirely a family affair; Colm heads up the day-to-day operations alongside his sibling Bláthnaid Ní Mhurchú. Bláthnaid, an accomplished artist and NCAD graduate, is also NMDK’s Lead product and branding designer.
Using the motto ‘Built for Life Behind Bars’, the online retailer sells premium cycling apparel such as cycling jerseys, bib shorts, and jackets, designed in Ireland and made in Italy using luxury Italian fabrics.
Their web store also stocks a huge array of accessories too, from designer handlebar tapes and performance socks to smartphone wallets and organic skincare products for cyclists.
“We are so proud to be producing with renowned manufacturing partners in Northern Italy who have over 40 years of cycling production heritage and know-how.” Ó Murchú told Yay Cork.
“They are manufacturing for us in small batches using traditional craftmanship, with the focus always on quality.”
