This pub is handing out free tea and coffee to striking nurses today

It’s a chilly day for a strike.
Still, 35,000 nurses across the country begin industrial action today, hitting the picket line in the snow from 8am this morning to demand better pay and conditions.
In Cork, Paddy the Farmers will be doing their bit to support them by providing free teas and coffees and toast from 10am until 4pm.
Posting on Facebook last night, the management of the pub on the Old Blackrock Road said:
‘We here at Paddy The Farmers feel very strongly about supporting our nurses and their cause tomorrow.
To try and do our bit we are offering free tea and coffee from 10am tomorrow morning until 4pm that afternoon. This is also available for takeaway and as usual we will have our free toast section set up so come in and warm the bones for a bit.’
