This popular quirky café is installing a secret garden for alfresco coffees next week

Lunchtime is about to get fun again.
And one popular Cork café is putting the finishing touches on a brand new outdoor seating area for when the restaurants reopen their tables on Monday, June 7th.
The Workshop in Lios Cross, Ballygarvan is at the planting stage of their new ‘secret garden’ addition.

While the café remains open for takeaway food and drinks (10am to 4pm), the new outdoor area will offer a number of cute tables where you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere when the restrictions are lifted.
During the pandemic lockdowns, The Workshop delighted customers by introducing Car Park Picnics, allowing diners to pull up, order their favourites from The Workshop menu and tuck in from the safety of their vehicles.
The menu featured French toast, bagels with cream cheese, a bacon butty and house-baked scones, luscious hot chocolates as well as a choice of mouthwatering sandwiches, soups, chowder and a hot dish of the day – all of which you can enjoy alfresco next week.
