This pop-up Boardgame Café is back in town for Christmas

They’ve been missed in the city.
It was a sad day for the parish when Cork’s TableTop Café decided to close up shop and settle instead into their cosy new residence in Bantry.
The café was a huge hit with Leesiders when it first opened on Castle Street in 2017, a late-night spot and a breath of fresh air for people looking to do #somethingdifferent on a night out.
Luckily for us, TableTop is back in Merchant’s Quay from now until Christmas Eve with a brand new pop-up, bringing their huge selection of board games for you to get your hands on.
“It’s lovely to be back in the city,” said owner Chris, “Not reopening our boardgame cafe after the first lockdown was a hard call, and we miss seeing our regular gamers, as well as seeing people blown away by how much fun board games can be.”

Games that you can buy in-store include favourites such as Articulate, 30 Seconds, and the Brain Box series as well as other, more unusual options such as Bob Ross: Art of Chill, Battle Sheep, Fast Sloths, and Abandon All Artichokes.
These are sure to entertain the fam during the inevitable food-coma period over Christmas. As to the question on everybody’s lips: Is TableTop coming back for another round in 2022?
“This is a first step towards coming back to the city. It won’t be today or tomorrow, but we’d love to reopen a physical board game cafe/bar at some point.”
TableTop will be open from Monday to Saturday in Merchant’s Quay from 9.30am. To find out what they have on offer, give them a follow here.
