This mind-blowing drawing of Cork’s Northside took 120 hours to complete

This will bring a tear to the eye of any Norrie.
A mesmerising illustration of Cork’s famous Northside is now available to buy in print form.
Created by local artist Jason O’Gorman, the vast artwork is made up of a series of 20 images captured from the top of Patricks Hill, merged together to create a 9 x 3 foot piece.
Look closely and you can make out the houses, streets and landmarks such as the goldie fish on top of St Anne’s Church in Shandon and the towers of the North Cathedral.
While the original print was displayed as part of Cork’s Culture Night and is now residing in Cork Airport, because very few people have 9ft of free wall space at home, Jason has scaled it down to make it available in print form.
It took an arm-aching 120 days to digitally hand trace, but ‘Cork’s Northside’ is now available in a living room-friendly size of 90cm wide (you can buy one on Jason’s website, €50 here), and larger sizes can be arranged.
We can’t think of a better gift for the modern Northsider.
